However, as the network evolves, images and carousels become more prominent, allowing brands and creators to story-tell differently.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For now, videos are the most shared format on the platform, with an average of 2.62 videos published weekly by accounts. Moreover, accounts with the most followers publish almost one video a day. Meanwhile, images and carousels are barely published once a week, on average.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regarding interactions, videos sweep the board, achieving almost 60% more than images and carousels. However, images and carousels generate a higher average engagement rate of 6.46%. This suggests that while videos achieve more interactions at large, the image and carousel views-to-interactions ratio is higher.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>TikTok videos have greatly evolved from their \u2018short-form\u2019 nature. According to the data, the ideal video length is between 2 to 5 minutes, garnering the highest average views.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What stays consistent on the platform is TikTok\u2019s algorithm tendencies, equaling the playing field for any video to reach users, regardless of the owner. By no surprise, the main traffic source is the \u201cFor You\u201d page, where TikTok recommends content per user. Accounts with fewer followers receive more than 75% impressions from the \u201cFor You\u201d feed, confirming the algorithm\u2019s balanced distributions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is just a small bite of what awaits in the 2024 TikTok Study.
